Mesa Cafe sits conveniently along Military Road in Cremorne, serving as a go-to spot for locals looking to start their day with straightforward, satisfying breakfast options and well-crafted coffee. The vibe here leans toward relaxed and unpretentious, which makes it a solid choice for anyone wanting to grab a casual bite or settle in for a bit of quiet reading or remote work.

The cafe’s menu offers familiar breakfast staples such as toast varieties, farmhouse muesli, and a hearty breakfast board, alongside more substantial items like scrambled eggs on toast and breakfast wraps. These choices, coupled with a selection of salads and wraps for later in the day, suggest a balanced focus on fresh, simple fare rather than anything overly fancy or complicated.

Regulars appreciate the quality of their coffee – it’s well balanced and aromatic, a dependable cup whether you’re here first thing in the morning or taking a midday break. The atmosphere is calm enough that people often bring a newspaper or their laptop, blending ease with a touch of quiet hustle. It’s the kind of place where the baristas know many patrons by name, offering friendly service that feels personal without being intrusive.

Mesa Cafe attracts a diverse crowd. Early risers stopping in for a quick but hearty breakfast mix with local residents who linger over coffee and smoothies or call in to pick up something light for lunch. Its location near residential apartments makes it particularly popular among neighborhood workers and remote professionals looking for a reliable spot to reset during the day.

Outdoor seating spills onto the street on pleasant days, lending a casual, communal feel that suits the suburban streetscape of Cremorne. The best time to visit is mid-morning on a weekday when it’s usually peaceful but still lively enough to feel part of local rhythms. Weekends bring a bit more bustle, particularly from families and friends meeting up for informal catch-ups.

In all, Mesa Cafe provides a low-key, accommodating environment where simple food and good coffee come together without fuss. It suits anyone who values a quiet, friendly spot to kick off their morning or refuel in the early afternoon, especially in a neighborhood where local spots like this put community and consistency first.

Hands-down the best salmon bagel I’ve ever had! The perfect combination of a fluffy New York style bagel with a generous filling of fresh smoked salmon, cream cheese, a crunchy fresh salad with micro herbs and capers which I love. Finished off with a squeeze of lemon. So tasty!! Highly recommend. The coffee is great too and very friendly service.

The perfect New-York style bagel with halloumi, kale and the creamiest tahini sauce...delicious! Paired with a perfectly balanced dreamy aroma cup of coffee. A hidden gem that is going to be my go-to WFH lunch spot in 2024!

Local cafe for the Park Regis Apartments Easy going and quiet enough to read the paper. Forgot to take a photo of the bacon sandwich but it was delicious.
